People Will Never Forget How You Made Them Feel
All lives have equal value. This is what I stand for, what I believe in. You may see it differently and that is your choice. Ultimately what society sees comes down to the collection of individuals and their viewpoints. Wherever you stand, please plant your feet determinedly. Some have a greater impact on others and this too is understandable. Every so often, a guiding light appears and changes the course of history. When that light is extinguished, this reality becomes apparent. We habitually mourn the loss of an individual yet pay little energy to mass casualties. This happens anytime someone impactful leaves us. Why does it happen? People never forget how you made them feel. Yes, one citizen can move an entire nation, continent, and footballing world. One small giant with a mere football aka soccer ball managed to do just that.

Not everything that happens, happens for a reason, but everything that survives, survives for a reason. Those who left a mark on society are remembered, mourned, and spoken of. Their contributions stand the test of time. Their images are never forgotten because they conjure up emotional feelings. Diego Armando Maradona was an Argentine professional football player but was much more to many. His triumphs on the pitch were well documented and rightfully so. His off-field struggles were open to the public and received plenty of consideration. Maradona was human and flawed like the rest of us. His vibrating energy and enthusiasm touched hearts on a deeper level. The way he made people feel is now on full display around the world.

Argentina is observing three days of national mourning for the passing of the superstar. At this very moment, tens of thousands of supporters in Buenos Aires are paying their last respects. World leaders, financial magnates, technology greats, and others will never reach these heights. They will never be loved and thought of like Maradona was and still is adored by the world. They will never sit at the same table as Maradona no matter how hard they try. Money and power does not buy class or character. New inventions do not touch hearts, bring bliss that lifting a World Cup brought millions.

Some things are temporary. Some things are forever. Maradona is forever. His 60 years of existence was more moving and dynamic than 90, 100 years of ordinary life. The amount of people he touched cannot be counted because it continues today. Even those who never watched him play are converts, believers, and supporters. We all get one chance to be the best we can be. We only get one chance at life. Make an impact on the lives of others and never forget, people will never forget how you made them feel.

May your soul rest in peace. Ciao Diego.
With love,
